Q If I use your service will it affect the move-in specials the apartment community is offering?

A No. You will still receive all of the move-in specials and discounts the property is offering everyone. Plus you will receive an additional reward from us.

Q How do you pay me a reward I use your service?

A Your reward is paid from the referral fee we receive from the apartment community that you move into.

Q How is this a free service?

A We are paid a fee from the apartment community's advertising budget. Apartment communities budget for apartment locator services just like any other advertising expenses. Communities actually prefer using a locator service over other forms of advertising because we are only paid when we fill their vacant apartment. Not only does our service not cost you anything, but you will still receive all the move-in specials and discounted rental rates the property is offering when you use our service to find your next apartment. Plus you will receive an additional reward from us.

Q What do I need to do to get my reward?

A Simply find your new apartment, loft, or town home through our website or leasing specialist. Then list Apartment Agents and your agent's name as the referring source on guest cards when you arrive at the communities and on your rental application when applying for your new apartment. Q Can I use your service each time I need to move?

A Yes. We would love to help every time you need to find a new place.

Q Do I qualify for a reward if I'm moving within the same apartment community or transferring to another property?

A No. We are not compensated when you renew your lease at your current apartment community or transfer your lease within the same management company; therefore we cannot offer you a reward.

Q When should I report my lease to my agent?

A After you have turned in your application and leave any deposits with the apartment community to hold the apartment. Your agent will then get your lease confirmed with the apartment community as quickly as possible. As soon as your lease is confirmed we can schedule your reward. Most apartment communities do not notify us when you lease, and it is your responsibility to let your agent know where you leased at so we can get the confirmation process started as quickly as possible.

Q How long does it take for me to receive the $125 Cash Reward?

A It generally takes the 6-12 weeks to receive your cash back reward. You will receive a check as soon as our invoice is paid by the apartment community.

OUR FREE MOVE OFFER

We keeps it simple. We pay for two full hours of move time with a professional moving company. There are no hidden additional item charges or fees for special circumstances like a lot of our competitors. The move starts when the movers begin loading your possessions and ends when they are finished. You can have the movers reconnect/disconnect and disassemble/reassemble items at no additional cost. You are only responsible if the move takes longer then the two hours that we pay for. Additional time is billed in 15 minute increments at our special rate of $79.00 an hour. (15 minutes = $19.75)

MOVE FAQ's

Q Does your free move include everything I need moved?

A Yes. Because our free move is hourly there are no hidden itemized charges for additional or specialty items that a lot of our competitors charge.

Q Who is going to be moving my possessions?

A We know that your possessions are extremely valuable so we only contract with reputable moving companies that are licensed with the Texas Department of Transportation and fully insured. Your furniture will be wrapped in quilted moving blankets and handled with care.

Q If I'm moving into an apartment with a roommate and they are moving from a different address than I am, do we both get moved for free?

A Yes. You can both take advantage of the free move and would only be responsible for any additional time over the two hours that we pay for.

Q Do I have to be moving from an apartment to qualify for a free move? Can I move from a house or storage facility?

A Yes. We can move you from a house, storage unit, etc. We are compensated by the apartment you are moving into.

Q If I'm moving to the Houston area from another city can you move me for free?

A We cannot move you for free from another city, but we can have the moving company unload your rental truck for you. We also work with a moving company that provides long distance moves and can apply your cash reward to the cost of your move from another city if you choose to use their company.

Q Can I schedule my move any day of the week?

A Yes. Our movers work every day except for major holidays.

Q Does the free move include moving boxes?

A No, but the moving company does sell boxes. We can have the moving company contact you with pricing.

Q Can your movers pack my items for me?

A Yes. The movers can arrange to pack your items for you for an hourly rate. Please notify us in advance of your move to arrange this service.

Q How far in advance do I need to schedule my move with the moving company?

A The earlier the better. A minimum of two weeks before your move-date is recommended, but we have been able to schedule moves in the same day. It mostly depends on how quickly the apartment community confirms our lease with them.

Q When should I report my lease to my agent?

Q When can I schedule my free move?

A You will be able to schedule your free move after your agent confirms your lease with the apartment community. As soon as your agent confirms your lease they will send you a link to schedule your free move.

  • Our service area includes the greater Houston area only.
  • Customer acknowledges that Apartment Agents is not a moving company.
  • Customer assumes the entire risk related to using Apartment Agents to facilitate a free move.
  • Customer acknowledges that no partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between Apartment Agents and the independently contracted moving company is created when Apartment Agents hires/contracts the moving services for customer.
  • Apartment Agents makes no representations or warranties, whether express or implied, and in no event will be liable to customer or to any third party for any damages, costs, lost profits, or expenses resulting in any manner, directly or indirectly, from a free move arranged by Apartment Agents for customer.
  • Apartment Agents and our independent moving company reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Customer will receive the cash reward offer if customer has met all qualifications and is refused service.
  • In the event a customer does not qualify for the full free move offer Apartment Agents may offer customer a reduced free move credit at our discretion. See how to qualify.
  • Apartment Agents will only pay the independently contracted moving company for 2-hours of move time. Customer is responsible for any additional charges.
  • The moving company reserves the right to deny service for any items they determine to be unsafe to move. Items must be able to be moved safely by two people.
  • There is a $50 fee if you have to reschedule or cancel your move if not done 24 hours in advance.
  • There is a $1.00 surcharge per mile each way for moves outside of the greater Houston area. Call for quote.
